10 STAR BOOK! Any little girl would love this story about a Willow Green, young and pretty witch who wants to go out with the other witches on Halloween night but is "just too cute." Her mother makes a scary mask for her so she can go and then shows her how to fly. Willow Green, the cute witch, crashes on her landing and gets a black eye, skins her nose and loses a tooth. She is about to cry but all the other witches clap and cheer. "No need to wear the mask, they said, to join us in our flight. They picked her up and fixed her broom, and when she'd had her brew, they all took off into the night to do what witches do."

I won't give away anymore of the story but it is great and you will enjoy it as much as your daughter! Get this book! I highly recommend it! The colors are so beautiful and vivid...blues, purples, reds, greens, yellows and oranges! WOW!

This delightful book about a little no-so-witchy witch offers a fun tale of Halloween. The rhyming text, and the colorful illustrations are guaranteed to elicite giggles rather than nightmares, making it just right for very young children.

I only read this book due to the fact that I enjoyed Mr. McGivers 'Extreme Metal' book so much. I do not care for Nu-Metal but despite this fact, I found this book to be a very enjoyable read as well as informative. It contains an excellent section on the origin of this genre & pays respect (or blame) where it's due. Through the pages of this Nu-Metal guide of sorts, I actually discovered several bands that I now listen to on a regular basis. Thanks for such an informative tool, Mr. McGiver. I don't believe anything else like this even exists.

This book rules! So many bands I never heard of, great pictures too. Long but helpful introduction telling us where nu-metal comes from. Ya gotta get this if you like any new rock band.

I bought this book several years ago when the Kids were famous and popular. This is above all, the best book. The Kids wrote it themselves, and have loads of childhood pics of each other. It also talked about what it was like growing up, and how they got together. I've read the whole book several times, and I never tire of it. New Kids have always been #1 in my heart, and they always will be.

In most of thees New Kids books, the facts are not always accurate, but in this one they are dead on. This book was written by the kids, and tell each side of the story (from their point of view) It has some seldomly published pictues of the Kids and their famillies. Well worth the investment.

Chip Rock Dayton's book "Outtakes" captures the raw energy, talent, and determination of a "kid from Long Island" who made it to the big time of rock and roll photography. How? By chronicling the ultimate rock and roll spectacular known as KISS! Chip's amazing photos, many never before published (hence the title) are just a part of this tome. Chip's stories about following his favorite rock and roll band through the mid to late seventies is modern day folklore for any aspiring artist. There are the stories, and of course pictures, of the self-financed road trips to concerts in the early days(including how the author sold his photos outside of venues to pay for gas. Forget the 4 star hotels the "rock stars" stayed at; he slept in his car!). The author describes in great detail how he befriended one of the biggest rock and roll bands in the world, and how that relationship continues to this day. This book was in the works for a long time and ceratainly worth the wait. As a professional photojournalist, concert photographer, and yes a KISS fan, I highly recommend this book for anyone who dares to visit the inside world of Rock and Roll stardom.

Many of die-hard KISS fans might already have the KISSYEARS photobook by Barry Levine that focus on the Destroyer/RARO and Elder era. Well..., Chip Rock's Outtakes gives you outstanding KISS photos from different era. This book will compliment the fine moments of KISSTory where other books left off. This a MUST for all KISS fans.

I got this book in the late 80's and I'm glad I bought it when I did, because it is damn hard to find. Mick Wall spends almost equal time for Ozzy's Sabbath years and his solo years(up to The Ultimate Sin). He also goes into Ozzy's childhood with quotes, a few pictures, and interviews that would be hard to find anywhere else. Lots of Sabbath and Blizzard photos too. All the usual Ozzy stories like pissing on the alamo, biting head off dove, plus a few others you might not have heard. All in all a great book if your an Ozzy/Sabbath fan.

I found this book very inspiring. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Very detailed and informative. Leaves lots of room for growth of your own ideas. I would recommend this book to any level of artist from beginner to advanced. Just let your imagination take over.

I have never had so much fun with a book before! Being anewcomer to painting I thought I would try my hand at"rocks"--why not? The author, Lin Wellford, has made her instructions to simple to understand. She goes step, by step taking you through the whole process of painting a house or cottage on an ordinary rock. You begin following her instructions, but you suddenly find yourself using your own imagination and making your own little piece of real estate "just a little different" and totally unique! I find this painting on rocks to be a totally relaxing and enjoyable pasttime. I am absolutely amazed at what I have accomplished! So much so, that people I have shown my "rocky real estate" to have asked if I'm willing to sell them! I absolutely recommend this book for many hours of fun and creativity.

Fantastic book with easy to read information & guide about all type of pearls. Also lovely photograps of fine pearl jewelry. A very fine book, definitively the best of its kind. Kudos to Mrs. Newman for writing with such knowledge, yet easy to grasp!

This book is a great source for information on pearls and a neccessity for those who are wishing to buy pearls. This will save you money as it teaches you how to determine value. It is a wonderful sequel to the 2nd edition. It discusses all types of pearls, pearl care, pearl quality, pearl value, and includes a quiz after most chapters. It discusses specific types of pearls like Misaki and Mikura as well as general types like black, mabe, akoya, cultured, and natural pearls. It goes into great depth about the new freshwater pearls like those from freshwaterpearls.com. This book should definetly be bought.

Petrogenesis of metamorphic rocks is probable the best textbook available for students of metamorphic petrology. In a short, concise form it introduces the reader to the principles of metamorphic petrology as well as to the evolution of different rock types under changing metamorphic conditions.

This book is divided into two sections. The first section deals with the basic princiles of metamorphism, including composition of source rocks, types, processes and condidtions of metamorphism. A very detailed description on the construction of metamorphic projections is also included. Part two covers the metamorphism of different rock compositions including ultramafic, mafic, carbonate, pelitic, and granitoid rocks. This section is very detailed, without bogging down with specific examples of metamorphism.
